Lahore Qalandars joins hands with Pakistan Hockey Federation and Sports Board Punjab to revive hockey in Pakistan. Qalandars are already known for producing top performers for Pakistan Cricket and LQ’s products like Haris Rauf, Fakhar Zaman, and Shaheen Shah Afridi are among the top performers and provide new opportunities to the young generation.

Lahore Qalandars started another initiative with the Pakistan Hockey Federation and Sports Board Punjab to announce Qalandars Hockey League between Lahore and Karachi. The aim is to produce new top performers for Pakistan Hockey.

 A press conference was held at Qalandars High Performance Centre (QHPC) on 8th February 2023, where CEO Lahore Qalandars Atif Rana and Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi announce a big step to revive the national game of Pakistan.

Speaking at the occasion, Atif Rana CEO of Lahore Qalandars said, “we believe in creating opportunities for young talent, we are not only limited to cricket, but we believe in promoting and supporting other games and hockey is our national game, we will take all the necessary steps to revive hockey in Pakistan. We will create hockey stars as we created in cricket”.
