Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars’ Jazz Rising Stars team defeated Sydney Sixers Academy in a nail-biting finish at Sydney’s Waverley Oval on Wednesday to get through to the Academy tri-series final.

Lahore Qalandars chased down the target of 121 with 2 wickets in hand after winning the toss earlier and electing to field first.

A 47-run partnership between opener Rafeh Ahmed and Saif Badar helped steady the Qalandars’ batting. With 7 needed from the last over, Ghulam Rabbani hit the winning runs with a 4 with just one ball remaining.

Lahore Qalandars will face Sydney Thunder in the final on Thursday.
