Debutante Haris Rauf’s four-wicket spell inspired Lahore Qalandars to a 22-run win over Karachi Kings in their Pakistan Super League (PSL) fixture at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Karachi Kings won the toss and chose to bowl.
Fakhar Zaman and Sohail Akhtar laid the foundation of a good start to their innings as the opening pair put on 64-run for the first wicket before the latter was dismissed on 39.
Zaman made 26 before he was the next man to be dismissed.
Anton Devcich put up useful contributions at the depth with skipper Mohammad Hafeez and Brendan Taylor as the side managed 138-6 in their 20 overs.
Karachi had a rocky start to their chase of 139-run target as they lost their opener Liam Livingstone on the score of 13 runs.
Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam put on 47-run partnership before the latter was dismissed on 28. Rizwan’s departure turned to be a blow for the Kings as the side started to unravel. Debutante Haris Rauf bagged four wickets in quick succession.
Rahat Ali completed the job in the final over by taking three wickets, dismissing Karachi for 116 runs in 19.5 overs.
