The find of the last year’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) proved to be none other than Shaheen Shah Afridi who played the last Under-19 World Cup for Pakistan and bamboozled many batters with his pace and height.
The 18-year old prodigy didn’t enjoy an ideal start to his campaign but recorded a grand performance against Multan Sultans to claim his first five-wicket haul in T20 cricket – a game which proved to be the turning point of his career. The left-arm paceman who has also been appointed as the brand ambassador of the franchise is eager to do well in the forthcoming season of PSL.
Sharing his excitement for the fourth edition of the tournament, Shaheen said, “The fourth edition of PSL is not far away and it brings memories of the last season where I made my debut in this league for Lahore Qalandars. It was a life changing experience for me since I played for Pakistan right after it. I will once again be seen plying my trade for Lahore Qalandars and I request all the fans to pray for our success.”
